meeting notes, for 27. July 2014 with José Ossa:

thinks that it may be easier + faster to request shapefiles via Ley de Transparencia instead of convenio marco (i.e why starting a time comsuming agreement process if...)
it would actually require to do convenios with each agency separately (Conaf, CNR, Ciren, ...)
there is no WFS access yet - only WMS (if there will be WFS needs to be decided by the board of directors - from each agency, but José is lobbying for it - but agency directors are also new)
has no idea yet if we should "return something" (e.g. write a report about what we did)
further distribution depends on what each agency says. However, for ley de transparencia, there should be no problem as long as the source is mentioned
update cycle for each dataset can be obtained from the (geo-)catalog => e.g. José said the "bosques nativos" (conaf?) dataset is updated by about 2 regions a year only.
IGM -DB: Minagri bought(!) their data and got it on DVD (shapefile). IGMs "curvas de nivel" dataset did not fit on boundaries, so Minargi (ciren?) adjusted it. However, they cannot share it.
they also have meterologic database with live data (update every 15min) which is run by 3 groups/consortia
